The Montgomery County RDC would like to congratulate Nucor on its expansion plans. Nucor has been a cornerstone of Montgomery County since 1987 when construction began on its first electric arc furnace sheet steel minimill. Since then, the company and the County have grown steadily. This most recent expansion at Nucor is one of many projects occurring in the Nucor TIF District, alongside new road improvements along the Comfort Drive Corridor and the construction of Tempur Sealy’s manufacturing facility. For more details on Nucor’s expansion, check their website at https://www.nucor.com/news-release/#item=18731.
