In partnership with the City of Crawfordsville, the MC RDC has begun the initial cost and engineering studies to create a new commercial and residential development area in Montgomery County. Purple Heart Parkway is a proposed development corridor connecting US 231 to Ladoga Road south of Crawfordsville.
Engineering firm RQAW delivered an abbreviated assessment in March 2022. The full report can be found here. (PDF, 18MB)
The road’s path will be an extension of the existing Purple Heart Parkway and will continue east along the current alignment until intersecting with Ladoga Road. This will allow for the development of several open parcels and will include all utilities: water, sanitary sewer, electric, natural gas, and fiberoptic internet.
Engineering and administrative staff completed a preliminary field check on February 8, 2023.
